The Sudan Project

Jesus reaches people in their humanity and heals them with holiness, and this is what we strive to do in the work of The Sudan Project.

The goal of The Sudan Project is to train South Sudanese brethren in the Word, preparing them to evangelize their own people and to lead congregations of the Lord’s church. This methodology requires the preparation of South Sudanese Christians to preach the gospel in their own villages, with the long-term goal of creating strong, self-supporting congregations.

The contributions of the Lord’s church go directly to the work in South Sudan. In addition to training preachers, The Sudan Project also assists with refugee camp churches through the purchase of Bibles, song books, communion supplies, teaching materials, food relief and building materials for their meeting places.

Violence and civil war permeate the country of South Sudan, preventing training at the South Sudan Bible School; however, the training of God’s people continues at the campus of Uganda Christian Bible College. When peace returns to South Sudan, refugees will return to their homes, and the South Sudanese Christians will be ready and equipped to teach the Word and establish new congregations.
